Creston , Illinois - 101 North Main Street
View Map

Highlighted in the mural is a rare view of a Lincoln Highway drinking fountain.
The fountains were donated free of charge, to cities meeting certain criteria for the portion of the Lincoln Highway running through their town. Illinois was the only state to be given the fountains and Creston was one of nine towns to meet the requirements to receive one. Bright, patriotic colors are used on the painting’s border to clearly distinguish the black and white images of the two men with the Creston fountain.
